Hilton Hotels & Resorts Returns to Melbourne

Hilton, one of the fastest-growing hospitality companies in the world, today announced the opening of the 244-room Hilton Melbourne Little Queen Street. The hotel's location on the corner of Little Queen and Bourke Streets, provides easy access to the city's recreational and cultural attractions. Hilton Melbourne Little Queen Street is owned by international hotel owner and developer M&L Hospitality and managed by Hilton.

John O'Shea has been appointed general manager of The Langham, Gold Coast and The Jewel Residences, Gold Coast, scheduled to open in 2022.Born in Brisbane and raised in Queensland, Australia, O'Shea has more than 40 years' experience in pre-openings, hotel renovations, operations, re-branding, food and beverage within the hospitality industry. In his diverse career, he was involved in six hotel openings and worked at five resorts in key travel destinations across Asia Pacific. O'Shea's most recent role was managing director of Splash Beach Resort & Villas in Phuket, Thailand where he oversaw the resort's renovation and re-branding, which comprised of 611 rooms, suites, penthouses and villas.

Michael Foster has been appointed as General Manager at Dorsett Gold Coast

Dorsett Hospitality has appointed Michael Foster as General Manager of the Dorsett Gold Coast, the group's first hotel in Australia and the first beach-style resort worldwide. Michael has over 15 years of hospitality industry experience, including pre-opening, hotel operations, as well as sales and marketing. He worked most recently as General Manager of the Holiday Inn Express Brisbane Central and has held several senior roles for other hotel brands including InterContinental (IHG), Pan Pacific and Crowne Plaza (IHG). Michael graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor's Degree in International Hotel and Tourism Management.

IHG and Proinvest build Brisbane CBD presence with Hotel Indigo Brisbane City Centre

Opening in 2022, the riverside location of Hotel Indigo Brisbane City Centre will play into the essence of the hotel's neighbourhood story, as the hidden gems that surround the property will be weaved into the guestrooms, restaurants, meeting facilities, design and service offering. Designer Joseph Pang will be charged with revitalising the interiors of the 212-room hotel while the hotel's restaurant, bar and café will be completely reimagined.

Lucy Ockleston has been appointed Hotel General Manager of the 99-room Adina Apartment Hotel West Melbourne in the city's up-and-coming trendy 'West End' precinct. Ms Ockleston commenced with TFE in New Zealand in 2011 at the Travelodge Wellington where she progressed from a food and beverage role to Assistant Hotel Manager. She has held key roles at the Travelodge Sydney and the Travelodge Hotel Newcastle and is a graduate of TFE's ACADEME Management Leadership Program.

Nigel Maxey has been appointed as General Manager at Adina Apartment Hotel Melbourne Southbank

Mr Maxey has extensive experience in hospitality as both a hotel General Manager and food and beverage specialist, including roles at Werribee Mansion and as General Manager of The Jasper Melbourne. Mr Maxey started his TFE Hotels career in 2018 working across a variety of brands - Adina, Travelodge, Rendezvous, Vibe and The Savoy - taking him to Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania for the Group.
