LEVA Hotels Enters North Africa with Casablanca Launch

Casablanca’s evolving hospitality landscape is set to welcome a new player this summer as LEVA Hotels enters Morocco with the launch of LEVA Casablanca, through a strategic management agreement with Ismail Oukrid, COO of the Group, Ares Invest, Oukrid Family Office. Formerly known as the Washington Hotel, the property is set for an official transition on 1st June 2026 and will undergo a phased refurbishment, allowing it to remain fully operational for guests throughout the transformation. This centrally located 106-key, 4-star property in the lively Mers Sultan district will be reimagined as a design-led, lifestyle-focused destination.

Iconic Winston Hotel in Johannesburg to tranform into the Park Hyatt Johannesburg

Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE:H) announced today that a Hyatt affiliate entered into a management agreement with an affiliate of the Millat Group for the Winston Hotel in Rosebank, Johannesburg, to join the Hyatt portfolio as an affiliated hotel. The hotel will be available on Hyatt's booking channels in the upcoming weeks. Following an extensive refurbishment, the hotel is expected to rebrand to Park Hyatt Johannesburg in early 2023, marking the re-introduction of the Park Hyatt brand to South Africa, signifying Hyatt's focus on growing its luxury brands in the destinations that matter most to travelers, World of Hyatt members, customers, and owners.

Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) announced today that a Hyatt affiliate has entered into a management agreement with South African real estate company, Millat Properties, for the first Hyatt-branded hotel in Cape Town. Hyatt Regency Cape Town, a 137-room hotel, is expected to open in December 2020, bringing the total number of Hyatt-branded hotels across Africa to eight, with two in South Africa. Hyatt affiliate has entered into a management agreement with South African real estate company, Millat Properties, to open the first Hyatt hotel in Cape Town. Hyatt Regency Cape Town, a 137-room hotel, is expected to open in December 2020, bringing the total number of Hyatt hotels across Africa to eight, with two in South Africa. The new Hyatt Regency Cape Town will be rebranded from the former Hilton Cape Town City Centre.
