Fitzroy Walker, MBA, MCIM looks ahead to his new tenure as a 2020-2021 HFTP Global Board director as a chance to overcome the challenges created by the Covid-19 pandemic. “These challenges being faced by hospitality today have created new opportunities for our industry,” says Walker. “The future will require ‘out of the box’ thinking, innovation and a true sense of dedication and commitment.
Kelly Brennan has extensive leadership and volunteer experience to draw upon in the next year as newly appointed HFTP Global Director. This experience includes seven years with the local HFTP Gold Coast Chapter, where she has served in every capacity on the chapter board, from secretary for president. She has also chaired their annual charity fundraiser for the past two years.
Barry Thomas , CHTP brings new representation to the hospitality technology segment with his approaching tenure on the HFTP Global Board with more than 21 years of experience in the IT industry, over 12 of which have been spent working in luxury hotels. He now leads Rosewood Hotel Group’s global property technology team, where he is responsible for the development and management of current and future property technology systems across the organization, as well as Rosewood’s global portfolio of new hotel openings. Thomas is also the vice chair of the Cyber HITEC Advisory Council. He has previously served on the HITEC Europe Advisory Council, the HOSPA IT Committee, and the European Hospitality Awards judging panel.
