Hotel Equities And Horizon North Break Ground On New Fairfield By Marriott® Hotel In British Columbia

Today, Hotel Equities and Horizon North Logistics Inc. (Horizon North) announced they broke ground on a fully-modular Fairfield by Marriott in Kitimat, British Columbia, Canada. The 120-room hotel is phase II of an entirely modular-built, mixed-use community development by owners, Horizon North. Hotel Equities has been selected as the managing partner to operate the new hotel. The anticipated opening date is Q1 2020.

Rivers Casino Pittsburgh Plans Summer Groundbreaking of $60 Million North Shore Hotel

Rivers Casino Pittsburgh announced today that it will break ground on a $60 million North Shore hotel later this summer. The seven-story, four-star property will be called "The Landing Hotel Pittsburgh" and will include 219 guest rooms. The hotel will attach to the existing casino on the east facade, facing the Carnegie Science Center.

LNW Hospitality and New Castle Hotels & Resorts Break Ground on Oceanfront Marriott Dual Brand on Jekyll Island, GA

Shaner Silver Spring Hotel, LLC Breaks Ground on 108-Room Fairfield Inn by Marriott Mechanicsburg in Pa.

Officials of Shaner Silver Spring Hotel, LLC, a partnership between Shaner Hotels, an award winning, international hotel owner, operator and developer, and Quarryville, Pa.-based Paul Risk Construction, a fourth generation, family-owned construction company, today announced the groundbreaking of the 108-room Fairfield by Marriott Mechanicsburg in Pa. The hotel is expected to open during the third quarter of 2020. Pennian Bank, based in Mifflintown, Pa., provided the construction financing.

A 247-room Holiday Inn Express hotel will break ground this month in Washington, DC's Mount Vernon Triangle neighborhood. Birchington LLC, owned by Habte Sequar, closed on a construction loan from Atlanta-based Stonehill Strategic Capital to commence construction on the $93 million project.
