LNW Hospitality and New Castle Hotels & Resorts, the team that developed the successful Westin Jekyll Island and Hampton Inn & Suites Jekyll Island, broke ground on their newest project, a 209-room oceanfront Residence Inn/Courtyard by Marriott on Jekyll Island, GA. The property is scheduled to open in the spring of 2021.

Shaner Silver Spring Hotel, LLC Breaks Ground on 108-Room Fairfield Inn by Marriott Mechanicsburg in Pa.
Officials of Shaner Silver Spring Hotel, LLC, a partnership between Shaner Hotels, an award winning, international hotel owner, operator and developer, and Quarryville, Pa.-based Paul Risk Construction, a fourth generation, family-owned construction company, today announced the groundbreaking of the 108-room Fairfield by Marriott Mechanicsburg in Pa. The hotel is expected to open during the third quarter of 2020. Pennian Bank, based in Mifflintown, Pa., provided the construction financing.

Olson Construction, an award-winning general contracting firm in California, today announced the ground-up construction of AC Hotel Wailea, a 70,000-square-foot, four-story estate hotel located on the southside of Maui County in Wailea. RAR Hospitality to Debut The Monsaraz, Tapestry Collection by Hilton
Southern California based RAR Hospitality, a full-spectrum hospitality management firm, has recently broken ground on the first Tapestry Collection by Hilton property in San Diego, The Monsaraz - set to open in summer 2020. Tapestry Collection by Hilton added 14 hotels to its portfolio of modern, stylish hotels in 2018 and has another 45 in its global pipeline (as of Q4 2018), including eight additional California properties. The development is a partnership with local development firm Alliance Development, who brings a wealth of knowledge to the team.
Hyatt Announces Hyatt Centric Brand Growth in the U.S. with New Hotel Planned for Memphis
The 227-room Hyatt Centric Beale Street will be developed through a joint venture between affiliates of Hyatt and Carlisle Hotels, Inc. The hotel will be developed within Carlisle's One Beale Street mixed-use project, to be located at the intersection of Beale Street and Front Street, just one block east of the Mississippi River and Riverside Drive. In addition to 227 guestrooms, Hyatt Centric Beale Street Memphis will feature a rooftop lounge, offering breathtaking views of the city's skyline and Mississippi River, as well as a ground floor lobby containing the hotel restaurant, bar and fitness center. Just off the lobby, guests will also enjoy an open-air courtyard with an outdoor swimming pool and fire pit, plus more than 14,000 square feet of meeting and event space located on the other side of the courtyard within the historic Wm. C. Ellis & Sons Ironworks and Machine Shop. Hotel construction is slated to begin in the second quarter of 2019, with an anticipated opening date by the end of 2020. Local Memphis design house, HBG Design, has been engaged for the hotel project.
