Hilton Expands Presence in French Polynesia with Signing of Hilton Tahiti

Hilton (NYSE: HLT) today announced the signing of its second Hilton Hotels & Resorts branded hotel in French Polynesia. Under a management agreement with Hotel Tahiti SAS, Hilton will manage Hilton Tahiti in the Tahitian capital of Pape'ete, the vast territory's main centre of government and economic activity. A major conversion is currently underway, due for completion in the first half of 2021.

IHG to open Thailand's largest Crowne Plaza in the heart of Bangkok

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG®) has signed an agreement with Sukhumvit Centre Point Co., Ltd. to take on management of Grand Sukhumvit Bangkok hotel in 2021.The 386-room hotel will rebrand as Crowne Plaza Bangkok Grand Sukhumvit by end of 2021 following an extensive refurbishment, before adding additional rooms by 2023 which will make it the country's largest Crowne Plaza hotel and the flagship for the brand.

Grand Nikko Awaji to Open October 1st 2020

-Okura Nikko Hotel Management Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Hotel Okura Co., Ltd., announced today that it plans to open the Grand Nikko Awaji on October 1st 2020. After being operated as The Westin Awaji Island and managed by Yumebutai Co., Ltd. and Marriott International Inc. for 20 years, the hotel will be rebranded as a Grand Nikko property and operated under new management.
