Windsor Property Management Company selects Procure.NET from Xn Hotel Systems for Central Purchasing & Stock Control

A bustling, vibrant and ostensibly young city of more than 9 million people, Ho Chi Minh City is the largest city in Vietnam and boasts an eclectic mix of Asian and French cultures.

The Windsor Property Management Company manages several hotels, including The Windsor Plaza and Sherwood Residence, as well as several extremely popular restaurants in the District 1 area. In January 2010, the group selected and began cut over to Procure.NET, supplied by Xn Hotel Systems Pte Ltd, to manage group procurement and stock control operations on a centralised basis, including Food & Beverage and General supplies to assist it control its Purchasing and Stock Control management operations for the group.

As the first implementation of Procure.NET in Vietnam, Xn Hotel Systems and development company Ankerdata Systems worked together to ensure a successful adaptation of the application to Vietnamese standards.

Part of this involved translating the application into the Vietnamese language.

Largest Japanese Hotel Consortium Switches to Sabre Hospitality Solutions as Marketing Provider

Following an extensive search for a new marketing provider with proven success in the Japanese market, the Japan Rail (JR) Hotel Group has announced it will migrate its properties to Sabre Hospitality Solutions' SynXis Central Reservation System (CRS). One of the largest hotel consortiums in Japan, JR Hotel Group is comprised of 61 properties all near rail stations in key gateway cities throughout Japan. The group will rely on Sabre Hospitality Solutions for their online merchandising, including reservations made through its own website, http://www.jrhotelgroup.com/eng/index.htm, online travel agents, and all four of the major Global Distribution Systems (GDSs). JR Hotel Group will also take advantage of the Japanese language control center and will be supported through Sabre Hospitality Solutions' Tokyo office.

The reality is much more complex than black and white. There are already many humanless hotels (mostly in Asia). So there will be: - regional differences in approach to human vs machine balance - variations between different segments (short-term rentals adopted self-service from the get go, many limited service hotel properties followed, but we won't expect to see if in the luxury segment any time soon, maybe never) It will be a spectrum.
