Meliá Hotels International, the Spanish hotel company with more than 380 hotels around the world, announces the transformation of the Dominican Republic resort, Meliá Caribe Tropical, into two separate properties: Meliá Punta Cana Beach, an adults-only resort, and Meliá Caribe Beach, a resort for everyone, opening at the end of 2018. Debuting with a selection of new offerings, the two new hotels will open with a myriad of new programming, services and amenities.

Hilton (NYSE: HLT) today announces the signing of Harbor Club St. Lucia, Curio Collection by Hilton, the brand"s first property on the island and a welcomed addition to Hilton"s expanding portfolio in the Caribbean. Owned by The Harbor Club Ltd., the nautically-inspired hotel is set to join Curio Collection by Hilton in April 2018. The property features 115 spacious cabin-style rooms and suites, 10 bars and dining outlets, four swimming pools, a spa, world class gym and meeting space.

Belmond acquires Cap Juluca, Anguilla

Belmond today announces that it has signed agreements to acquire Cap Juluca, a luxury beach resort on the Caribbean island of Anguilla, British West Indies. The addition of the elegant, 96-room resort marks an important milestone in the strategic development of the Belmond brand, which is committed to doubling the size of its portfolio by 2020. Upon completing the acquisition towards the end of May, the Company will immediately operate Belmond Cap Juluca and will be ready to welcome guests.
