Sugar Beach, a Viceroy Resort Debuts a New Look Following Five-Month Closure

The Caribbean's most legendary resort, Sugar Beach, debuts a fresh new look that marks the next chapter in the properties near 30-year history. Following a five-month closure, the iconic destination located on the shores, nestled between the picturesque UNESCO Pitons of St. Lucia, has completed expansive renovations and immersive upgrades that enhance the overall guest experience. From nine new Luxury Cottages and Beachfront Bungalows, a culinary overhaul with the launch of a new poolside bar and various updates to its existing restaurants, alongside amenity enhancements including a refreshed spa, brand-new main pool experience and beachside fitness facility. To compliment this fresh new look, Sugar Beach has also expanded on its impressive museum-quality art collection, with modern original art from talents like Andy Warhol, Damien Hirst, Banksy, Tom Sachs, KAWS and Jeff Koons. November 2021 will mark a new chapter for Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort, an iconic Caribbean destination located on the shores of the picturesque St. Lucia coastline. Embarking on a five-month closure beginning June 1, the property will reopen its doors November 1 with an enhanced guest experience through a variety of property renovations and experiential upgrades. Set to debut are nine accommodations, a plethora of upgraded culinary outlets, brand-new beachside fitness facility and expansive amenity enhancements including a refreshed spa and new main pool area.

Beaches Runaway Bay Part Of The Plans From Sandals® Resorts International

In addition to the $230 million development of Sandals Dunn's River and Sandals Royal Dunn's River, the resort company is also planning an over $250 million renovation of its third new location in Ocho Rios, Beaches Runaway Bay Resort, the third family-friendly Beaches Resort in Jamaica. At its completion, the hotel will feature an estimated 400 expansive one, two, three and four-bedroom suites, designed with extended families in mind. Guests of Beaches Runaway Bay also have access to Runaway Bay Golf Club and its par-72, 18-hole championship golf course.
