The db Group and Hard Rock International Announce Hard Rock Hotel Malta as Part of New Development Project

The Malta-based db Group and Hard Rock International yesterday broke ground and laid the foundation stone for the Hard Rock Hotel Malta along with a mixed-use development including Ora Residences with two towers of exclusive apartments and a vast mall. The total investment in the project is €300 million and is set to create hundreds of different jobs.

Groundbreaking ceremony for ibis Styles Hotel at Munich Airport

The ibis Styles brand, renowned for its exceptional and unique designs at more than 560 hotels around the world, is growing thanks to a new addition at Munich Airport. The project officially got under way with the groundbreaking ceremony on May 30, 2023. The 358-room hotel is due to open in spring 2025. The owner of the building is Munich Airport, while Accor will operate the hotel under a management contract. The hotel will offer an open-plan lobby with a breakfast area, bar, restaurant and co-working space, as well as a gym and dedicated parking. The theme for the hotel's design will center on the Isar river in its many forms.

Construction of Moxy Hotels begins in Tromso

Moxy Hotels is coming soon to the arctic capital of Tromso. Construction has begun and the hotel is expected to open its doors in 2023. Moxy Hotels announced back in 2019 that the brand would launch in Tromso, Norway. Construction of the international lifestyle hotel has now begun with a scheduled opening in the first half of 2023. The 200 rooms will be certified by BREEAM as a sustainable building and by Green Key for sustainable operations.

Concord Hospitality Breaks Ground on Beaufort Hotel

Concord Hospitality Enterprises Company, joined by representatives from the Crystal Coast Tourism Authority, broke ground yesterday on the 133-room Beaufort Hotel, an Ascend Hotel Collection®. The property is a joint venture between Concord and Beaufort Hospitality Enterprises. Slated to open in 2018 in a popular tourist destination, those involved with the project expect it to have a significant impact on the region.
