The Master graduation ceremony was held on 25 August 2011, on the campus of Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL). The 26 " Master in Hospitality Administration " graduates received their diplomas and various prestigious academic prizes during the evening event.
Dorchester Collection announces that Le Richemond will join its growing portfolio of luxury hotels from 1 August 2011. Set on the banks of Lake Geneva, the prestigious 109-room hotel will be Dorchester Collection's first third-party management agreement. The group was selected against strong competition, following a change in ownership of the hotel.
Kempinski Hotels plans to take over the Royal Spa Kitzbühel in Jochberg at the beginning of the winter season, making it the group's second hotel in Austria. An appropriate letter of intent has been signed between Kempinski Hotels and PORR Solutions Immobilien- und Infrastrukturprojekte GmbH and Ambo GmbH, the owners of the luxury property in Jochberg in the Kitzbühel Alps. It is planned to finalize the management agreement before the end of June. The hotel, which opened in December 2009 and is today known as the Royal Spa Kitzbühel, a Leading Hotel of the World, is only a few kilometres outside of Kitzbühel, and boasts 144 elegant rooms and suites with panoramic views of the breathtaking mountain landscape surrounding the hotel. "We are delighted to have Kempinski as a partner again for this project.
The beautiful Hotel Diplomat building on the famous esplanade Strandvagen in Stockholm is 100 years old. Visitors and guests will notice the anniversary being marked throughout the year – in everything from the restaurant menu to the champagne in the bar and the art on the hotel's walls.
Mr Stephen Rushmore, President of the hospitality consulting group, HVS International, is regularly invited to give conferences at the Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL) where he frequently teaches classes on Real Estate Financial Management and holds seminars on hotel valuation and hotel real estate assets. During his presence on the EHL campus on 29 March, Mr Stephen Rushmore was both surprised and delighted to be awarded the title of Honorary Professor at the Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne.
For the ninth consecutive year, the ESSEC MBA in Hospitality Management (IMHI) has been ranked first among Hotel and Tourism Postgraduate degrees in France by leading educational consulting group SMBG. This independent classification is a key decision making tool for French students wishing to find appropriate programs to further their education. Three criteria are used to determine placement in the ranking: recognition of the programme, salary on graduation, and satisfaction of the graduates.

Delaware North Companies has been awarded a contract to refurbish and operate the landside restaurants at Scotland's Glasgow Airport, the latest expansion of the company's global airport hospitality business. This project, set to get underway this year and be completed in early 2012, represents a complete makeover of the airport's current pre-security food service outlets. Delaware North now operates at four airports in the United Kingdom. In 2009, the company entered the United Kingdom travel hospitality market by opening restaurants at London's Heathrow Airport, including the popular Dining Street Restaurant, as well as at Gatwick Airport in London and at Edinburgh Airport in Scotland
The Rezidor Hotel Group, one of the fastest growing hotel companies worldwide, takes over the management of the existing Hotel Rezydent in Sopot, Poland on 1st December 2010. The property featuring 64 rooms is under common ownership with the nearby Radisson Blu Hotel, Gdansk, and will keep its former name.

The Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL) is very proud to announce that Simone Hess, a student in the Master programme at EHL, has won the prestigious Hyatt Student Prize. Her prize, a one-of-a-kind creation by Baccarat, was presented to her on 20 April 2010 by Gebhard Rainer, Managing Director of Hyatt Hotels & Resorts (Europe Africa Middle East) at the EHL campus. In all there are 13 schools in Europe who are specialised in Hotel Management and that have been selected to compete in this competition. Competitors must be at least 21 years-old, hold a Master’s degree and speak fluent English.
The dates of 3 and 5 February will be forever engraved in the minds of the 174 students of the Bachelor Programme and the Diploma of the Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL). In two distinct graduation ceremonies held last Wednesday and Friday, the students received their qualifications following two years study for Diploma students and four years of study for Bachelor Programme students.

Kempinski Hotels is delighted to announce that from January 1, 2010 the prestigious Villa Rothschild Hotel & Restaurant will become the Villa Rothschild Kempinski Königstein Frankfurt and the sales and marketing agreement of its sister hotel, the Kempinski Hotel Falkenstein, which will be renamed to Falkenstein Grand Kempinski Königstein Frankfurt, will change into a full management agreement at the same time.
