John Gustafson has been appointed as Director of Sales & Events at Sensei Porcupine Creek

John Gustafson joins Sensei Porcupine Creek as Director of Sales and Events, following 14 years at the Fairmont Chicago. An accomplished sales partner in luxury wellness, Gustafson brings his passion and background in curating experiences for groups with a skilled expertise in events. Gustafson started his career with Fairmont in 2003 and was promoted to various positions such as Director of Corporate Catering, Senior National Sales Manager, Director of Group Sales, and lastly as Director of Sales. In his early career, he explored a variety of different roles across the hospitality sector that included stints at the front desk, to concierge, reservations, call center and food and beverage, providing him with a strong foundation and understanding of the importance of collaboration across departments.

Courtney Mesmer has been appointed as Vice President, Event Programming and Experience at U.S. Travel Association (USTA)

Quincy Brown has been appointed as Chief Engineer at Origin Hotel Atlanta

With over a decade of experience in hospitality and a strong foundation in HVAC Technology from Altamaha Technical Institute, Quincy Brown entered the hospitality industry in 2006 as Chief Engineer at the Courtyard by Marriott Atlanta Six Flags in Lithia Springs, Georgia. His career has since spanned to several properties in the metro Atlanta area, including the Hyatt Place Atlanta Airport-North, Courtyard by Marriott Atlanta Windy Hill and most recently, the AC Hotel Atlanta Downtown. Committed to ongoing professional growth, Quincy holds a C.P.O Certification and an EPA 608 Universal Certification. His achievements include being named Intersafe Associate of the Year during his time at AC Hotel Atlanta Downtown.

His education includes a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Guru Ghasidas Central University and a Master's in Business Administration from IGNOU. Kenny Valenzuela has joined The Otesaga as the resort's new director of sales and catering, having previously served as the director of sales for Kimpton Taconic Hotels & Restaurants in Vermont. Valenzuela has been in the hospitality industry since 2008 and has been in sales roles since 2011, when he joined the Equinox Golf Resort & Spa. There he held positions as the executive meeting manager, conference services manager and sales manager. At The Otesaga, he will be responsible for growing the resort's group business, catering and conference events to drive revenue and increase market share.
