Lars Pursche has been appointed as General Manager at Kempinski Hotel Bahia

Kempinski Hotels has appointed Lars Pursche as the new general manager at Kempinski Hotel Bahía, Estepona. Joining the five-star international luxury hotel in Southern Spain from his latest position as General Manager of Kempinski Hotel Soma Bay in Egypt, Lars Pursche brings with him in-depth experience in the global hotel industry. The German native started with the luxury hotel brand in 2011 as Director of Sales & Marketing and was appointed General Manager of Kempinski Hotel Huizhou, China, in 2015. Since 2017, he successfully managed Kempinski Hotel Soma Bay on the shores of the Red Sea, where he led the team in delivering strong operational results and navigating the pandemic. The team at Kempinski Hotel Bahía is pleased to welcome Lars as he continues to build on the hotel's legacy of 23 years in Spain.

Francisco Sa Teixeira has been appointed as Director of Sales & Marketing at Kempinski Hotel Bahia

The Kempinski Hotel Bahia Estepona has announced the appointment of Francisco Sa Teixeira as the new Director of Sales & Marketing. Coming from the Kempinski Doha in the Middle East to the Beach Resort in Spain, Sa Teixeira takes the helm for the day-to-day operations of the Sales and Marketing departments, as well as focusing on achieving the company’s strategic goals. He is committed to building on the hotel’s strong performance record and tapping into new markets to stimulate demand and enhance revenue.

Meliá Hotels International to manage the Atalaya Park Hotel in Estepona from 2018

Meliá Hotels International will manage a new hotel in the province of Malaga and thus reinforce its continued commitment to resort hotels in Spain. The company will add the Atalaya Park Hotel to its portfolio, a four-star hotel alongside the sea in Estepona. The hotel will be totally renovated, with an investment of almost 18 million euros mostly financed by the hotel owners, to offer the Sol by Meliá brand experience. Sol by Meliá is the company"s most traditional resort hotel brand, and the hotel will be renamed the Sol Marbella Atalaya Park Hotel after renovation, incorporating the most modern attributes of the brand to position itself as one of the leading resorts on the Costa del Sol.

Raúl Cob has been appointed as Executive Chef at Kempinski Hotel Bahia

Raul hails from Valencia and is considered to be amongst the top 20 most influential chefs in Spain. He has recently returned from Doha, where he spent 18 months as Head Chef at El Faro restaurant, located in the Marsa Malaz Kempinski Hotel, The Pearl, Doha. Whilst there, Raul’s key objective was to bring authentic Spanish Cuisine and flavours to guests and clients, quickly setting El Faro ahead of the competition as the authentic-Spanish-cuisine restaurant. Now, as he returns to his homeland, Raul brings with him a wealth of experience and determination to create the most traditional paella and rice dishes on the Costa del Sol this summer.
