Hospitality leaders edyn continue the rapid expansion of its serviced apartment brand Cove into Europe

The 121-key asset will be the first opening in mainland Europe for edyn's newly launched serviced apartment brand, Cove. edyn acquired the building from a hotel owner and operator, where it has been operating as a 118-unit hotel since 2015. The asset will be converted to include 121 studio and one-bedroom apartments; plus 250 sqm lobby, lounge, and co-working space. The Hague acquisition signals the continued expansion of edyn's portfolio across Europe, which also includes lifestyle aparthotel brand, Locke. The Hotel Europäischer Hof in Baden-Baden, which has a unique history stretching back for 180 years and which occupies an unencumbered location within the direct vicinity of the city's historic assembly rooms and spa, its Europe-wide renowned Casino and old quarter, will be operated as a Steigenberger Icon in future. Albert Steigenberger laid the foundations for Steigenberger Hotels AG when he acquired the building housing the Europäischer Hof in 1930. The company he started has now gone on to become Deutsche Hospitality, which manages 160 hotels across three continents.

B&B HOTELS opens first hotel in the Netherlands

The leading budget hotel group B&B HOTELS has taken over the operation of an existing hotel in Zaandam, near Amsterdam, as of June 17, 2021. The hotel will open its doors to guests on June 21, 2021. B&B Hotel Amsterdam-Zaandam is the group's first Dutch location, expanding the portfolio of B&B HOTELS to a total of 13 countries. The takeover will take place during the current operation and all employees of the hotel will be taken over by B&B HOTELS. During the year, renovation and modernization work will start to adapt the 93 single and double rooms to the high quality standard and modern look of B&B HOTELS.

The Woodward set to join Oetker Collection portfolio

Oetker Collection recently announced that Woodward, a new hotel situated in the heart of Geneva on Quai Wilson, will be the next property to join its portfolio. The property sits directly on the shores of Lake Geneva, and offers panoramic views of Mont Blanc. Owned by Bastion Holdings, the hotel was originally built in 1901 by French architect François Durel in a post-Haussmann style. At present, it is being completely transformed and carefully reimagined by world-renowned architect Pierre-Yves Rochon.
