Ten Percent of the Products Consumed at RIU’s Hotels in The Balearic Islands are Locally Produced

In just two years, RIU Hotels & Resorts has doubled the amount of local products used at its hotels in the Balearic Islands. This figure stood at 5.7% in 2023, before increasing to 7% in 2024 and reaching 10% in 2025. This amount is calculated as a percentage of the hotels’ total spending and represents a significant milestone for the chain, which intends to continue increasing the proportion of local products used in the coming years as part of its Proudly Committed sustainability strategy, supporting the community and reducing the company’s scope 2 carbon emissions.

Radisson Hotel Group signs four new properties in Norway and introduces two new brands

Radisson Hotel Group is delighted to announce the signing of four new conversion properties, and 519 guest rooms, in the picturesque city of Bergen, Norway, as part of their fruitful partnership with Magic Norway AS. Two of the properties will be Radisson Individuals hotels and the other two will be under the Group’s Prize by Radisson brand. UN Tourism Completes Official Visit to Bulgaria and Welcomes Hristo Stoichkov as New Ambassador

The UN Tourism official visit, led by Secretary-General Zurab Pololikashvili, was welcomed by Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov for an official visit that included high-level meetings with the Ministries of Tourism and Foreign Affairs. Meetings focused on how UN Tourism can support the further growth and diversification of Bulgaria’s tourism sector, most notably through the development of cultural, culinary and wine tourism. In an official meeting with President Rumen Radev, both parties focused on supporting tourism education and growing investment into the sector, with UN Tourism committed to publishing guidelines for international investors.
