Curio Collection by Hilton Expands in Mexico City | Umbral, Curio Collection by Hilton

Part of an ambitious program to restore historical buildings in Mexico, Umbral, Curio Collection by Hilton will be located in downtown Mexico City and is slated to debut in spring 2019. With its 59 guest rooms, Umbral will offer guests on-site amenities such as its rooftop bar and restaurant overlooking Mexico City's most emblematic buildings, including the Metropolitan Cathedral, the County Hall and El Palacio de Hierro Department Store. Umbral will also boast a contemporary design with sleek, minimalistic furniture in neutral tones of white, beige and brown, as well as natural materials such as light and dark woods.

Owned by developer CITTARK, Hotel Lafontaine, Curio Collection by Hilton will feature 34 well-appointed guest rooms, a vibrant bar and restaurant and an open-air courtyard. Designed by architect Daniel Alvarez and Cherem Architecture, the boutique property's refined modern design incorporates darker palettes with dark greys, browns and greens, as well as touches of decor inspired by the local culture. Set to open by the end of 2019, Hotel Lafontaine boasts an ideal location in Polanco, a luxurious neighborhood in Mexico City, providing visitors with world-class dining, chic boutiques and world-famous museums within walking distance.

Hilton Announces two additional Hilton Garden Innproperties in Colombia

Hilton Garden Inn Pereira, owned by GR Hoteles SAS, will be the company's first hotel in Pereria, which forms part of Colombia's coffee axis - "el eje cafetero" and the UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the Coffee Cultural Landscape of Colombia. Set to begin construction this month, the 164-room property will be part of a mixed-use development including retail, offices and a private clinic. Already under construction, a 69-room Hilton Garden Inn owned by Futuristico Group SASwill also be opening in Cartagena's high-end neighborhood of Bocagrande, representing Hilton's fourth hotel in the city.
