81-Key Parador de Sigüenza Re-opens after major renovation

Following a seven-month closure, the Parador de Sigüenza reopened its doors on 9 May, unveiling a major renovation project valued at over €10 million. Housed within a spectacular 12th-century castle, the Parador now boasts fully modernised facilities while preserving its historic character. The renovation included the modernisation of 21 guest room bathrooms, replacing bathtubs with showers to enhance comfort and accessibility. The castle's exterior received careful conservation work including the restoration of the barbican and the creation of a new visitable rooftop terrace with stargazing activities available. A comprehensive redecoration refreshed the hotel's ambience with new lighting, textiles, and furnishings.

This summer, alongside the beautifully redesigned rooms, suites, pool, and restaurants, Splendido introduces a vibrant new bar, Baratta Sedici, that captures the glamorous spirit of Portofino, as well as the first permanent Dior Spa in Italy. On 29 June, Belmond will also debut Villa Beatrice, a one-of-a-kind, majestic private summer residence overlooking the sea, further strengthening its legacy in Portofino's enchanting enclave.

Paris Landmark Hôtel de Sers Reopens After Full Renovation

Hôtel de Sers, part of the B Signature Hotels & Resorts collection located in the famous Triangle d'Or, just moments from the Champs-Élysées and Avenue Montaigne, has reopened its doors following a comprehensive renovation that honors its 19th-century heritage while embracing a refined, contemporary vision of hospitality. Once the private mansion of Henri-Léopold Charles, Marquis de Sers, the hotel retains the architectural splendor of its Haussmannian origins. Key period features have been meticulously preserved, including the carriage entrance, a monumental marble staircase with wrought-iron detailing, and the original salon de réception with ornate moldings and soaring ceilings. The renovation, led by interior architect Pascal Allaman in collaboration with owners Anne and Agathe Jousse, was focused on enhancing the property's historical identity with a fresh, modern sensibility.
